Northern Cal quake swarm nears 600…in just three weeks

The previous record set in 2003, contained just 120 earthquakes over 31 days, with the largest clocking in at a magnitude of 4.2.  The new swarm shatters that record in dramatic fashion.

With a disturbing increase in earthquake activity in the U.S. this year the continued shaking in Northern California doesn’t help to settle nerves. At the very least it should serve as a reminder
