Around the World: A Spiritual Awakening

Throngs of people around the world are standing up in prayer and turning to Yeshua Jesus during the Covid-19 crisis

4/20/20 – In case you haven’t noticed, there is an awakening occurring around the world, a boldness in standing for Yeshua Jesus. Take a look at these short videos from around the world as believers take a stand, minister to, and pray for one another. We are all called to do this! I pray this inspires you to share the good news of salvation in Yeshua Jesus and to get your spiritual armor on and take back the territory the enemy has stolen!

PAKISTAN

At risk to themselves and their families, these believers took to the streets in Pakistan to sing praises to Yeshua Jesus. Pakistan is listed at the #5 position on the World Watch List 2020 for Christian persecution

Open Doors, a non-profit that tracks and charts Christian persecution worldwide writes of the Muslim nation: “All Christians suffer from institutionalized discrimination. Many Christians are poor and some are victims of bonded labor. In general, Christians are regarded as second-class citizens. Also, the country’s anti-blasphemy laws are disproportionately applied against the Christian minority—making it difficult and dangerous to live out one’s faith in public.”

I would love it if someone would do an online choir of people around the world singing this song in their own languages along with these brothers! What a wonderful message that would be to them! We are members of the one body of Yeshua!

BRAZIL

In February of 2020, there was a major event in Brazil. Fox News wrote an article about it titled, ‘Historic’ Christian event brings together 140,000 youth — and Brazil’s president. It was significant for several reasons. One, was the president of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro not only attended the event but also delivered an address. Fox News wrote, “The leader nicknamed the ‘Trump of the Tropics’ was met with thunderous applause when he declared that he is a believer in Jesus and that Brazil belongs to God.” Scripturally, it is very significant when kings and presidents proclaim Yeshua over their nations.

CUBA & UGANDA

Messianic Rabbi Kurt Schneider of Discovering the Jewish Jesus is an evangelist ministering the gospel of Yeshua with signs and wonders. This year he has already been to Cuba and Uganda.

Cuba has a high degree of occult influence that has been mixed with some Christian traditions, making for significant spiritual warfare.

Uganda also has high levels of Christian persecution. Read this story from a Sheikh who accepted Yeshua Jesus at risk to his life. Last year this story made headlines: Pastor and 16 Church Members Kidnapped in Nigeria.

Open Doors writes: “Even in a pandemic, violent persecution continues. In some areas, such as Nigeria’s Middle Belt, Christians are living in a survival culture.

“One pastor in the area shared: ‘We lie down at night, not knowing if we’ll wake.’

“Between the end of March and Easter, Christian communities in both Kaduna and Plateau States suffered numerous attacks by extremists that killed 31 people and left homes destroyed.”
