Pakistan joins with Saudi’s 350,000 troops for assault on Syria

2/16/16 – (TruNews) Thousands of soldiers from 20 countries started arriving in the Saudi city of Hafr Al-Batin in the past several days ahead of what organizers said are the largest military exercises in the region, labeled ‘Northern Thunder’.

The “Northern Thunder” exercise will include air, sea and land forces.

Last week, Saudi officials said their decision to send in ground troops was “irreversible”, despite Thursday night’s agreement between Secretary of State, John Kerry and Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov for a cessation of hostilities.

Pakistan has also joined the operation.

The troop build up has raised concerns around the world that this could lead to World War 3.
