New Video: Apocalyptic scenes of Damascus suggest prophecy fulfillment

Behold, Damascus is about to be removed from being a city And will become a fallen ruin. – Isaiah 17:1

12/28/15 – There is a specific prophecy in the Bible about Damascus that is getting a lot of attention lately due to current world events.  The prophecy says that Damascus will cease to be a city and will become nothing but a ruin.

By the way, if you have not looked into Biblical prophecy I highly recommend it; it will show you that the Bible is the most accurate ancient document ever discovered.  Your brain naturally has to choose what to do with the information: you either must refuse to accept the Bible is truly God’s word in spite of the overwhelming evidence, or accept that it is truly the word of God with the realization of admitting that fact changes everything in your life.

One of the reasons this is such an important prophecy is that throughout all of history this has never happened.

Damascus is the capital of Syria, and is one of the oldest, continuously inhabited cities in the world.  It is also a major cultural and religious center in the region.

Many of us watching the prophetic have been struck lately that while Russia released some footage of the destruction in the area around Damascus in October (ShofarBlast article, Could this be the Isaiah 17 prophecy?), it has been impossible to find any footage of the area since then.

This footage is a shocking revelation of destruction.  My heart aches over the amount of human suffering.

This video is of the Jobar neighborhood of Damascus.  Once densely populated, it is now obliterated.

While it is still too early to say for sure, it certainly seems at this point we could be witnessing the fulfillment of the Isaiah 17 prophecy.

Just in case you’re wondering, the book of Isaiah was written between (circa) 740-680 B.C., toward the end of the reign of King Uzziah and throughout the reigns of King Jotham, Ahaz and Hezekiah.

If you don’t yet know Yeshua as your personal Messiah read this.  He waits for you with open arms.
